Last month investigative author Gerald Posner sought to pour cold water on the announcement by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) that the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets was going to hold hearings on JFK’s assassination.

“There are no better and pressing issues for @RepLuna and her committee than to reexamine the JFK assassination?” Posner asked on Twitter/X. “Visiting the site and ‘speaking with first-hand witnesses’ after 62 years?”
