A so-called Scoop Jackson Democrat is a right-wing Democrat who believes in the empire as opposed to the republic. In other words, a Republican. Henry Jackson was the quintessential Cold War “liberal“ who had no small part in turning the Democratic Party to the right in the 60s and 70s. He made war on Jimmy Carter and sabotaged his presidency from within. Walter Karp can tell you that story. The book is Liberty Under Siege, which everyone should read. Woolsey’s support for McCain makes perfect sense given heroes like these. It could not be otherwise.
The headline should be, “Another Swamp Monster, Defunct. Establishment Says, RIP. Public Says, Good Riddance.” If only.
We see here, among other things, how far back the tactic goes of smearing Russia whenever a political difficulty arises in the U.S. which the dominant powers, represented by the two dominant political parties and the intelligence agencies, believe they need to control in their own interest. It’s pitiful, it’s rankly deceitful, but as long as it continues to be at all effective, then it must be confronted with maximum contempt and a much more developed understanding than exists now - so it ceases to dupe.
I agree. But stranger still is the report by his wife that Woolsey was a victim of directed energy weapons attacks toward the end of his life. If this is true, were those directed energy weapons attacks coming from the United States, or from Russia, who he had demonized during his entire tenure in the CIA, and beyond, including his JFK assassination conspiracy-theory novel? My guess is that they were coming from the US, not from Russia. Once he'd retired, he was completely expendable, and he was highly useful for psy-ops.
Perhaps. I don’t know. I stopped being aware of his existence a while ago. But I can’t imagine he said or did anything that would make anyone in the power apparatus he served all his life want him gone when he was already nearing his expiration date. It didn’t require any weapon to get him to deny that the CIA was involved in the assassination, or to blame Russia for it. It’s completely of a piece.
I'm doing a deep dive into John McCloy in my next series. He appears to be the apex of the Rockefeller gang that removed JFK because of what they lost in 1949. People aren't taught in school how much money was lost in 1949.
Sorry to be trite, but isn’t it at least a little interesting that Woolsey, McCloy, Michael Hayden (and for that matter James Clapper, Slitherin’ John Brennan, and even Kruschev) all look quite similar??? I've put together what in my opinion is closer to the facts surrounding the JFK assassination.
Prior to his 1979 book about the alleged LBJ/Soviet connection,Hugh Chisolm McDonald published "Appointment in Dallas: The Final Solution to the Assassination of JFK" in 1975 as the Rockefeller Commission was exploring the topic. McDonald asserted in his book that he met “Saul” in 1961 in the office of CIA employee Herman Edward Kimsey. Years later he learned from Kimsey that Saul was JFK’s assassin, then McDonald tracked him down and got a confession. Kimsey had died by the time McDonald wrote his book, but an agency internal review found that Kimsey on May 22, 1961, received “$380,000 cash from Colonel Sheffield Edwards" who was the CIA’s first director of the Office of Security, a designer of Project Bluebird (aka Operation Artichoke, later known as Project MKULTRA) and privy to the CIA’s assassination plots against Castro and other foreign leaders.
McDonald was a former senior official in the Los Angeles County’s Sheriff’s Office. In August 1964, McDonald “had been granted 90 days leave to act as a security officer for the Republican National Committee. His specific task was that of protecting Senator Barry Goldwater during the Presidential campaign.” Arch-conservative Goldwater had the backing of anti-Castro radio propagandist Dr. Fernando Penabaz (CIA cryptonym AMPARCEL-1) and William Douglas Pawley (CIA cryptonym QDDALE) who was co-Chairman in Florida of Citizens for Goldwater. Both were associated with JMWAVE and believed that Goldwater, unlike JFK, would rid Cuba of Castro. Penabaz was an associate of General Edwin Walker and spread the rumor that Oswald had gone to Cuba and knew Jack Ruby.
The answers to the Kennedy assassination are surely held in issues discussed within this website. The problem is to eliminate the extraneous variables which distract us from recognising the reality.
I admit to being fascinated by many of the non-essential facts.
