In 1961, JFK Contemplated 'Fairly Drastic' Changes to the CIA
62 years later, the Agency doesn't want you to know why
Chad Nagle of American Conservative dissects what he calls one of “the more eloquent documents in the JFK Collection,” a June 1961 memo from historian Arthur Schlesinger Jr. to President John F. Kennedy proposing “a fairly drastic rearrangement of our current intelligence set-up.”
