Hollywood director Oliver Stone has won three Oscars, which puts him in an artistic pantheon with the likes of Katharine Hepburn, Ingmar Bergman, Jack Nicholson, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Frances McDormand. But none of those Hollywood talents —and few Washington politicians — can claim a distinction of Stone’s: He singlehandedly brought about a law that has contributed immensely to the education of the American nation: the 1992 JFK Records Act.
