JFK Live Tonight: The CIA Is Slow Walking the Joannides File
The clandestine service is evading Trump's executive order to prevent release of 44 documents about top secret operations around Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963

Tonight, I’ll have an update on the story that has scared the mainstream media into silence: the story of the most explosive JFK file still withheld by the CIA, the story of the personnel file of undercover officer George Joannides. His paid agents generated propaganda about Lee Harvey Oswald before and after JFK was killed, and he obstructed Congress’s JFK investigation in 1978.
It’s been 100 days since President Trump issued Executive Order 14176, calling for “full and complete” JFK disclosure, and the Joannides file, containing 44 documents from 1962-1981, is still withheld from public view.
I’ll report on the ongoing efforts of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna to obtain the Joannides file and other key JFK records still held by the CIA.
‘Denied in Full’
The Joannides file is not a story that legacy news organizations care (or dare) to report on these days. In their dismissive coverage of the JFK files, The New York Times proclaimed “Oswald did it” and scorned conspiracy theories but didn’t mention that Joannides’ paid agents were the first to generate a JFK conspiracy theory — ”Castro did it” — in the national media before Kennedy had even been buried.
The New Yorker and SpyTalk scoffed at JFK skeptics but they did not dare scoff at the Joannides file, which indisputably contains "cover" (false identity) and “intelligence methods” that Joannides used in 1963 when his agents were in contact with Oswald.
These experts can’t refute or rationalize the Joannides file. They can’t call it a conspiracy theory or blame it on Oliver Stone or the KGB. They can’t even deflect it by quoting their sources in Langley, because even CIA loyalists have no defense for Joannides’ secret operations around Oswald, much less his felonious stonewalling of the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978.
CBS News is doing a story on my work, and I have it on good authority they will not mention the Joannides file either. “Too complicated,” I was told. That’s true. The very existence of the redacted Joannides file complicates the “lone gunman” theory to death by contradicting it. The 44 documents in the file, still “denied in full” to the American people, prove the CIA is still hiding, in the year 2025, secret operational activity around Oswald and reveal that Joannides actually got a medal for his JFK actions.
Ignoring the Joannides file doesn’t make it go away. Mainstream news organizations can avert their tender eyes, but they’ll miss the news. Rep. Luna has called on Tulsi Gabbard, director of national intelligence, to help secure this key piece of JFK evidence in the near future.
Other News
In other news: Trump gets a B-Minus on his JFK file releases so far. … Chad Nagle finds a long buried FBI report on a suspected Dealey Plaza gunman. … And a widely circulated video about JFK’s paramour Mary Meyer appears to be a hoax.

Joanides and David Sanchez Morales (operational control in Dallas) both are keys to the story. Getting the Morales file about South America, Cuba, Mexico, the Bay of Pigs, and Operation MOngoose were all operational projects headed by Morales. He was at the Cabana Hotel when JFK was assassinated. Joanides provided psych operations to deflect visibility.
Nobody knows more about Joannides than Jefferson, so kudos for staying on top of this key piece to the puzzle. The more pressure applied to the CIA and Tulsi Gabbard and Paulina Luna the better. Any documentation that has been held back at this point needs to be addressed with the full weight of administration behind it, including the Prez.
If I'm not mistaken, the CIA brought Joannides out of retirement to be the liaison for the CIA during the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978. It's an extremely important point that needs to be made to the public through any and all media. The files that have been withheld should go a long way towards illuminating the reason as to why of all the CIA personnel that could have served in that role, George Joannides was the one who was chosen.
