I have great admiration for Mr. Morley's dignified presentations of why there is disbelief regarding the Kennedy assassination. I am astounded at the background information he can off handedly present which is not always in the conspiracy arguments.

I myself have long known of Angleton's relationship with Mossad, as well as the conflict between President Kennedy and Ben Gurion over Israel's nuclear program. This subject has been long discussed among JFK researchers. Reading the correspondence between JFK and Ben Gurion, as well as his successor Levi Eshkohl, Kennedy's criticisms of Israel's nuclear program are quite explicit. His concern about proliferation greatly strained relations and grew into near confrontation between the two countries.

That said, I doubt very much that the Israeli government itself had anything to do with JFK's murder. If Israel had ANY role in the Kennedy assassination, it was more likely foreknowledge rather than active involvement. Israel had everything to lose in their nuclear program if Kennedy was re elected, and had everything to gain if the more militantly pro Israel Lyndon Johnson was in office. With the deep relationship between Angleton and Mossad, there exists the remote possibility of certain elements of Mossad gaining knowledge of plots against Kennedy's life. All that was needed then was for these individuals to simply do nothing and just let events take their course.
