RIP Clint Hill: Secret Service Agent Who Sought to Save JFK Is Dead at 93
While his Warren Commission testimony indicated shots from more than one source, he scorned any notion of conspiracy for the rest of his life

U.S. Secret Service Agent Clint Hill, who became famous for having leapt from a running board on the car behind President John F. Kennedy’s limousine in the Dallas motorcade after shots rang out in Dealey Plaza on Nov. 22, 1963, died a few days ago in his home at the age of 93. No cause of death has yet been made public.
In the famous 8-mm home movie shot by Dallas dressmaker Abraham Zapruder, Hill was captured jumping on the back of JFK’s accelerating vehicle as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy crawled onto the trunk. He appeared to be the only member of the Secret Service detail who moved at all in reaction to the gunshots.
