The Coalition Against Political Assassinations (CAPA) is rallying public opposition to a plan afoot in Dallas to “improve” Dealey Plaza, the scene of President Kennedy’s assassination. The plan, floated by the Dallas Morning News last November, calls for radically changing the landscape of the area where the 35th president was shot and killed on November 22, 1963.

"Dealey Plaza doesn't work," Morning News architecture critic Mark Lamster was quoted as saying. “It's dangerous and nonfunctional and it doesn't work symbolically for the city. I think it's due to be rethought."
