Top 10 JFK Files Biden Should Release
The key assassination files that remain redacted, censored, buried, obfuscated and denied.
Last October, President Biden issued an executive memoranda calling on all federal agencies to conduct and “intensive review” of JFK assassination files that still contain redactions
“ to ensure that the United States Government maximizes transparency, disclosing all information in records concerning the assassination, except when the strongest possible reasons counsel otherwise. “
In setting a deadline of December 15, 2022, the president laid down the law for the CIA, FBI and other federal agencies that retain thousands of ancient files related to the assassination of the 35th president in Dallas on November 22, 1963
Any information that an agency proposes for continued postponement beyond December 15, 2022, shall be limited to the absolute minimum under the statutory standard. An agency shall not propose to continue redacting information unless the redaction is necessary to protect against an identifiable harm to the military defense, intelligence operations, law enforcement, or the conduct of foreign relations that is of such gravity that it outweighs the public interest in disclosure.
Some observers believe there is nothing of consequence in these files. As the U.K. Independent put it last year:
The continued secrecy may tickle the imaginations of the conspiratorially minded, but national security and classification law experts who’ve pushed for the remaining redacted records to finally see the light of day have a message for anyone who thinks they’ll at last be able to determine whether there was a second shooter or CIA involvement or proof for any of the myriad theories that have sprung up since that dark day in November: Don’t get your hopes up.
Of course, these "experts” haven’t seen what’s in the redacted documents so their claim is necessarily speculative. Their dismissal of the possibility of “CIA involvement” displays an ignorance of the Agency’s consistent history of obfuscating the historical record of the assassination. These “experts” exude the complacent faith that the Agency is now acting in good faith on JFK records. They are entitled to their innocence, perhaps, but there is nothing in the historical record to justify it.
The CIA itself has acknowledged that Agency officials did NOT cooperate with the Warren Commission investigation, as the commission and the mainstream press assumed. In 2013, CIA historian David Robarge published an open-source article acknowledging what JFK researchers had been saying for generations: the CIA did not really investigate Lee Harvey Oswald, the suspected assassin who denied killing Kennedy before being killed in police custody.
“Yes, the CIA Was Part of the JFK Assassination Coverup,” explained Philip Shenon in Politico in 2015. The testimony of CIA director John McCone “was neither frank nor accurate,” Robarge wrote, since he did not disclose the CIA had been plotting with the Mafia to assassination Cuban leader Fidel Castro and that the counterintelligence chief James Angleton was opening and reading Oswald’s mail for four years.
The agency’s bogus cooperation with the Warren Commission, Robarge states, was "a process designed more to control information than to elicit and expose iL" Robarge offered the self-serving conclusion that the CIA was responsible for a “benign cover-up”—as if obfuscating the investigation of the murder of a sitting president was a harmless activity.
Some people may be fooled by such double-talk from the Agency’s flaks, but JFK Facts is not. In the coming weeks, JFK Facts, Substack edition, will identify ten key JFK files that will shed light on the causes of the assassination. Paid subscribers will get detailed explanation of what is being hidden about CIA assassination chief Bill Harvey; about CIA operations officers who monitored Oswald while JFK was still alive; and the sensitive compartmented CIA operations involving Oswald.
The CIA can be expected to refuse to release this material. If so, it will be proof positive that they have something to hide about JFK’s murder However, President Biden has the authority, under the JFK Records Act, to overrule the Agency and end the 58 year long coverup. The question is, Will he?
Only if the public, the press, and the Congress identify the key JFK files and demand their release.

The same needs to be done over all the files concerning the Vietnam War. All files pertaining to POW should be released. The families have the right to know whatever information there is about their family member.
McCain pulled a dirty underhanded stunt and had all information stamped TOP SECRET in order to keep everything confidential.
What other federal agency decides for itself if it will obey the law? What we have is a nation of laws for everyone except the CIA and the national security surveillance state.
The CIA/national security surveillance state thinks it is entitled to be above the law, free to commit any atrocity it wishes, here or any place in the world, in order to enforce its vision of what America should be regardless of how much that vision conflicts with what the vast majority of the American people want.
Were it not for the bravery and self-sacrifice of Edward Snowden, we would have had a secret Orwellian surveillance program where government agents could read and listen to every communication every American made without the public's knowledge or consent. We have the surveillance system, but at least we know about it, thanks to Snowden. Who voted for this surveillance program? No one. What provision of the Constitution provides for it? None. In fact, there is a prohibition against such searches and seizures.
Why do we Americans tolerate this? Because we have no choice, no say in the matter, just like Soviet citizens, North Korean citizens, Chinese citizens, and German citizens under the Nazis had no say in their governments.
This is the most important lesson the JFK assassination teaches us. We don't live in the country we were taught we had.
