Trump Again Promises to Release JFK Assassination Files
At a Sunday rally the day before his inauguration, the 47th president drew enthusiastic applause for his pledge on JFK, RFK and MLK assassination materials
The newly sworn-in President of the United States is again promising to release all files to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
On Sunday night, less than 24 hours before President Donald Trump was sworn into office for the second time, he spoke to supporters at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The Sunday event served as a preview for both inauguration day and the agenda he’ll be pursuing early in his presidency.
“In the coming days, we are going to make public the remaining records related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other topics of great public interest,” Trump said. “It’s all going to be released, Uncle Sam.”
You can see video of his comments here. According to the New York Times, the comment received “one of the loudest applauses of the rally.”
The community of JFK assassination researchers are also feeling hopeful. JFK Facts Editor Jefferson Morley shared this reaction thread on X, calling the news “exciting,” while also expressing concern that the CIA has historically been obstinate on the question of JFK transparency and might pursue the same approach here.
