A recent report by cybersecurity firm Veriti exposed a variety of possible scams designed to exploit public interest in the release of records released in response to President Donald Trump’s Executive Order 14176. Veriti research noted that it is common for cybercriminals to use events of public interest to take advantage of users who are searching for online information relating to topics in the news.
