Farewell to a Friend, Dan Storper
Jeff Morley’s obituary for the JFK researcher and musicologist Dan Storper who passed away on May 22 at age 74 appeared earlier today.
At the Hearing: Part Two
Two days before Dan’s passing, the second hearing of the House Oversight Committee’s Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets chaired by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, was held on Capitol Hill. There was revealing, historic, and at times, emotional testimony from five men who are living witnesses to the events of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, and the investigations in the decades that followed. The witnesses all addressed the cover-ups that ensued in the aftermath, starting with the emergency room treatment of the president’s wounds, through the autopsy, the investigations by the Warren Commission, the House Select Committee on Assassinations, and the Assassination Records Review Board, and ongoing to the current select committee’s efforts to obtain declassified records from intelligence agencies. The woman seen above is presidential historian Alexis Coe, not a witness to the events but, in her own words, a “time traveler” who studies them.
