About the 'Showstopper' in Rob Reiner and Soledad O'Brien's JFK Podcast
Concerning an audaciously deceptive undercover CIA officer named George Joannides
The 10th episode of Rob Reiner and Soledad O’Brien’s “Who Killed JFK?” podcast dropped recently, not long after the show was downloaded for the 5 millionth time. The influence of hit series has clearly spread—now to the world of sports.
On Twitter/X, Dan Kingerski, a serious hockey fan in Pittsburgh, calls attention to the “showstopper” of the series: when a CIA lawyer thwarted Congress’ assassination investigators with an audacious lie.
I may be biased because I told that story of George Joannides duping the Hosue Select Committee on Assassinations to Rob and Soledad, but Dan is right. The documentation is strong, corroborated by the testimony of living witnesses. It certainly would hold up in court. Are the courts or Congress interested in a real JFK investigation in 2024 is another question.
If you want to know about how the CIA hides this eye-opening story today, I explained the incriminating details in a talk at the National Press Club in Washington, DC in December 2022.

I really liked their podcast series. As someone relatively new to this subject, I learned a bunch of things I didn’t already know and I’m glad that it is getting mainstream attention. My one critique would be the people they named as shooters in the last episode. While they did say it was an educated guess, they didn’t go into much detail on why it was an educated guess. I was left wanting a bit more other than these are enemies of Kennedy who may have been in the area. Does anyone have have more information on why these are reasonable names, other than Herminio Diaz telling a friend he was involved?
I just watched the 4-part series from Oliver Stone called JFK: Destiny Betrayed., and I highly recommend it. CIA knew and used Oswald and covered it up. A huge scandal they keep hiding because of the embarrassment it would cause. This is not about revealing sources and methods.
