BREAKING: Trump Signs Order to Declassify Remaining JFK Files
He acts on his campaign promise on the third day of new administration, signing an executive order that also will release files related to MLK and RFK assassinations
President Donald J. Trump on Thursday signed an executive order “ordering the declassification of files relating to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy [and] Reverend Martin Luther King Jr.”
“That’s a big one,” the president said as he prepared to sign the order. “A lot of people have been waiting for this for years, for decades. And everything will be revealed.”
Trump then handed the pen he used to the sign the order to an assistant with the words, “Give this to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,” the nephew of JFK and Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services.
In reaction to the order, JFK Facts Editor Jefferson Morley said, “On the JFK, RFK and MLK files, this is a welcome statement of intent, but in practical terms Trump has only kicked the can down the road for a couple of weeks … no details … only a ‘concept of a plan’ … it’s the right idea but implementation is everything.”
JFK Facts will continue to monitor this potentially historic development.
There will be nothing revealing re. JFK, IMO. There are likely thing that are embarrassing for the gov't but have no bearing on who was or wasn't involved in the shooting/
"Everything will be revealed"... we'll see.
