Hi Everyone, could someone help me getting a message to Dr Gary Aguilar, please? I’d like to follow up something he was saying recently on the Zoom but don’t want to go through his work contact.
In the February 2, 2024 JFK Facts Live podcast [linked above], I made reference to the previous week’s discussion concerning the motorcade route. The prior week, it was stated that the decision to hold the luncheon at the Trade Mart necessitated the right-turn onto Houston & sharp left-turn onto Elm.
In the current podcast, I pointed out that Stemmons Freeway wasn’t the simplest way to get from Dealey Plaza to the Trade Mart. Continuing on Main Street through the Triple Overpass, Main merges with Commerce Street, with Industrial Boulevard being the very next intersection. Taking a right-turn onto Industrial Boulevard would have been a direct route to the Trade Mart & would have avoided the fatal dogleg turn at Houston & Elm.
I also mentioned that going North on Houston, approaching Elm, there were no left-turn highway signs at all [refer to Secret Service photo links, below]. The only highway sign was for the Dallas-Forth Worth Turnpike, which directed drivers to go straight on Houston [& not to turn left onto Elm].
References regarding the signage for Northbound traffic on Houston, at Elm:
Secret Service Photo Showing Close-Up of Dallas-Fort Worth Turnpike Sign, Looking North on Houston, at the Elm Intersection [Note that the sign directs Turnpike traffic to go straight on Houston, not turn left onto Elm.]:
Secret Service Photo Showing a Wide View, Traveling North on Houston, Toward Elm [Note the circled Dallas-Fort Worth Turnpike Sign, which was the only highway sign for drivers traveling North on Houston, at the Elm intersection.]:
Can I give you my contact info and my representatives name by email somehow? I can't make the live podcast, but I would still like to help.
