In the January 18, 2024 JFK Facts podcast, relative to the concern about nuclear war breaking-out in the aftermath of the JFK assassination, I mentioned that [according to JFK researcher John Judge] code books were found to be missing from SAC [Strategic Air Command] bombers, airborne at the time. Similarly, according to JFK Press Secretary Pierre Salinger, the code book was missing from the presidential fleet back-up aircraft, a USAF Boeing 707, designated SAM 86972, carrying JFK Cabinet Officials bound for Tokyo.

The missing code books are evidence of a disruption of the nuclear war chain-of-command, at the time of the assassination — apparently intentional.

First off, nice work on the podcasts, interesting show last night. Just wanted to hit on a few things about the incredulity about people in power not saying anything about their suspicions on a conspiracy. I think that’s pretty easy to explain when you really start to look at it from their perspectives.

1.) The most powerful man in the country, the guy who you’d expect to be relatively immune to deliberate assassination attempts, just got whacked in broad daylight and the people responsible were able to pin it on a lone nut patsy.

2.) multiple high level people across different agencies assisted in fixing attention on Oswald as the lone gunman. Whoever orchestrated the plot clearly has a lot of juice to get things moving in the Intel community.

3.) those who were speaking were getting their reputations smeared, and key witnesses were acquiring a special ability to turn up dead at times when they could potentially testify to investigators.

Plus, the actual shooters are secondary targets themselves of an investigation. The primary targets are the ones who actually hatched, planned, and executed the plot. We’ve only really been able to speculate as to their identity.

Those who have tried to launch inquiries have been aggressively attacked in the court of public opinion, only to see their efforts hampered by dying or fearful witnesses, uncooperative agencies, and a relatively indifferent public.

It doesn’t take a lot of brains to see that some mid level government official or relatively unimportant member of Congress, would look at all of this and decide that maybe they don’t really want to mess with whoever did this, unless they absolutely had the perpetrators caught.

True, and I think it all becomes increasingly obvious and more personal the higher up the food chain one goes to the point where it becomes an open secret at the highest level. Nixon talked about it in veiled terms, referring to it something like that Bay of Pigs thing.

We're locked into a hidden, diabolical authoritarian regime beyond democratic control, and there's nothing we can do about it short of something like the French revolution. Propaganda will prevent that.

Fear is the ultimate form of control.

It was interesting to have Allan Dale join the podcast. So knowlegeable. It was very interesting his tale of John Newmans Archives being broken into. But it was only the June Cobb material that was stolen. But he said because of misfiling some material was not taken.

Dying to hear more about the stuff they didn’t take, which Newman referenced in his book “Where Angels Tread Lightly”.

Much of what I have seen discussed on this site is already known. There have been excellent summaries of all the contradictory facts and all the information deliberately overlooked by the corrupt Warren Commission. At the time of the assassination the average American could simply not believe there was a conspiracy. Over time it was proven that Lee Harvey Oswald was working for the CIA and did not act alone. The book by James Douglas was written in 2007 (if I am not mistaken) and makes an excellent review of all known information. More recently the book about Allen Dulles by David Talbot adds more details. So bottom line, we know what happened. We just do not have the "confession". And what possible chance is there for this without the will on the part of Congress? The fact is Americans have to revolt against having to live a lie. Is this the purpose of your site: to saturate the minds of open minded citizens to the point where action is taken to take on the forces behind the JFK assassination? Those forces are still there.

I think the purpose of the site is knowledge for the sake of knowledge. Social change will be difficult, if not impossible, for the reasons pointed out by Jeff McMahon above.

A couple things about Oswald have always bothered me. 1) If he was working with the CIA and the FBI, even temporarily, why was he always so poor? 2) If he was sent by the CIA/ONI to go to Russia, why didn't they assist in cleaning up his dishonorable discharge with the marines?

I dont believe Oswald was poor. He was just posing as that. I also dont believe he didnt know how to drive. I also think he had a double/multiple doubles to have done so many things in his short life. Reiner says LHO was not the sixth floor shooter.

How did he afford all his travel, from his trip to Russia and back to his alleged trip to Mexico City?

The fact that the government won't release his tax returns raises suspicion about the amount of his income and its source(s). (Since Texas is a community property state, Marina is supposed to have a right to those tax returns.)

Changing his discharge status would look suspicious. The question arises why did Oswald care.

"Oswald received a letter from his mother, Marguerite, informing him that the Marine Corps had, summarily and without a proper hearing, changed his discharge from honorable to dishonorable. (The downgrading had actually stopped at 'undesirable,' one notch short of 'dishonorable') . . . . Oswald was devastated at the news. That he would care at all is noteworthy. Why should a true convert to Communism, one so desperate for political action, one so ready to take up arms against America – in short, a person who was described by the Warren Commission as a Marxist – have even a moment of anxiety over what the fascist United States and its most dangerous military force might do in his buried military records? The true believer would be amused. But Oswald did care."

I think the State Dept and the Red Cross paid for the trips. Why didn't the government fix the dishonorable discharge since they had sent him to Russia -- I guess it was part of the ruse?
