Of note is the fact that the tail end of the Walker bullet is at least a full millimeter larger than the diameter of the Parkland stretcher bullet [the latter having come from the in-evidence Mannlicher-Carcano, a 6.5 millimeter caliber.
Note that the Parkland stretcher bullet is indeed 6.5 millimeters in diameter, as measured using the FBI’s metric scale, visible in the same photograph. In contrast, the diameter of the tail of the Walker bullet is significantly larger: 7.6-7.7 millimeters, as measured using the FBI-provided metric scale.
Thus, an analysis of the size of the bullets shown in the FBI photographs suggests that the Walker & Parkland stretcher bullets were fired from different caliber rifles.
