Relative to our discussion in the May 18, 2023 JFK Facts podcast, concerning Oswald’s role as a U.S. Marine radar operator, augmenting the CIA’s capabilities at their secret U-2 spy plane base in Atsugi, Japan, see the attached YouTube video discussion between U.S. Air Force Col. Fletcher Prouty & John Judge. In the interview, Col. Prouty said [near timestamp 40:20], “I can tell you, clearly, that a Marine assigned to Atsugi was a selected CIA man.”

Recorded by Mr. Judge in 1992, at Col. Prouty’s home in Alexandria, VA, the interview is an absolutely fascinating look at Col. Prouty’s amazing career — & contains many insights into the history of the Nation’s clandestine service, as well as his perspective on the JFK assassination.

Col. Prouty was in a unique position to provide such insights, as the liaison [during the Kennedy Administration] between the Office of the Joint Chiefs [in the Pentagon] & the CIA, in providing logistical support [from all of the Service Branches] — for the Agency’s covert operations.

I highly recommend watching the entire interview, but if you’re pressed for time, Col. Prouty’s discussion of Oswald’s CIA support role at Atsugi can be found at timestamps 4:10, 40:00 & 48:50.
