For all those who knew Dan and his indefatigable work on the JFK investigation, I suggest that everyone write to CAPA chair Glenda and make a donation as a tribute to him. I talked to Dan just a few weeks ago and he said he regretted that he didn't have time to finish his book, he needed to attend to his illness (he'd asked that I keep it a secret). He interviewed the girlfriend of a French Intel agent who lived in New Orleans. I just can't believe he's gone. He was a good man.
My condolences to all who knew Dan. Because of his enthusiasm for interviewing people who may have had knowledge about JMWAVE activities, I had passed on information to him about a conversation I had in the 1980s with Bernard Barker's daughter. Dan almost immediately contacted her and had plans to have a deeper conservation with her which I was looking forward to hearing about. RIP, Dan, you were a pleasure knowing even briefly.
Dan was a great friend and I enjoyed our endless conversations about the research about JFK. His visits were always fun and interesting. He worked hard on a book that we’ll never see. Dan helped us all stay in touch. He was a kind and a dedicated investigator. His home was New Orleans where he ran Putumayo. Now he’s with the scholars. RIP Dan.
Thank God we have many ‘JFK Facts Live’ podcasts — that preserve Dan’s insightful commentary — providing us with a fascinating, ‘Behind the Scenes’ look at the New Orleans portion of the JFK Story.
I’m so proud to have called Dan a friend in our work and adventures with Jules Ricco Kimble. Dan was absolutely brilliant. The good seem to go first. 😓
Thanks for sharing - I would have loved to be a fly on the wall during the interviews you described. May he rest in peace
Thanks for the obit and intro.
RIP Dan. Always had great info to offer on the calls and seemed like a really nice, interesting guy 🙌🏼
Dan was my friend and helped me with his work. RIP Dan

Godspeed, Dan!
I’m so, so sad to hear about Dan passing.
I knew him only from the JFKFacts sessions, where he shared some amazing anecdotes from his research. I looked forward to his comments.
