It always amazes me that “wise” and “sensible” individuals claim “Oswald did it, get over it”. The fact is the federal government violated the rule of law. Secret Service had no authority to take the body. Dr. Earl Rose had full legal authority to complete the autopsy and actually had training in forensic pathology. Oswald received no due process. No trial and no defense. The Warren commission is a meaningless political report with no standard, certainly not reasonable doubt. They ignore anything, evidence or witness testimony, that does not support their preconceived conclusion. No “Conspiracy Theory” is required to express skepticism regarding Oswald as the guilty party. Anyone that suggested otherwise is an idiot, needs a 7th grade Civics class, or is being blatantly intellectually dishonest.

The ballistics evidence, as supported by the Warren Commision’s hired authority, Dr Joseph Dolce, undermines the single bullet theory that ties the recovered bullet to the crime. The expert medical commentary of Doctors and neurosurgeons immediately following attempts to save Kennedy’s life do not support Oswald as the lone assassin. Joseph Milteer’s apparent foreknowledge of the assassination and the government’s failure to investigate undermine any credibility they might have had in the matter. It compounds the tragedy that Oswald’s Rights as an American are completely ignored. Shame on the Corporate “Mockingbird” Media and the corrupt American Federal Government.

I find it ironic that University of Miami political science professor Uscinski is a conspiracy skeptic considering how many members of the CIA worked out of the University of Miami south campus conspiring to overthrow or kill Fidel Castro.

As Jeff previously wrote:

George Joannides’s “personnel file showed that he served in 1963 as the chief of the Psychological Warfare branch of the CIA’s station in Miami. He had a staff of 24 and a budget of $1.5 million. He also was in charge of handling the anti-Castro student group that Oswald had tried to infiltrate in August 1963. They called themselves the Cuban Student Directorate [DRE] and it was Joannides’s job to guide and monitor them. Under a CIA program code named AMSPELL, he was giving $25,000 a month to Luis Fernandez Rocha and Juan Salvat, the Directorate’s leaders in Miami. That funding supported the Directorate’s chapters in New Orleans and other cities.

Fernandez Rocha and Salvat, who still live in Miami, confirm the story. Fenandez Rocha is a doctor. Salvat owns a publishing house. Both recall a close but stormy relationship with George Joannides whom they knew only a ‘Howard.’ The records of the Directorate, now in the University of Miami archives, support their memories. The group’s archives show that ‘Howard worked closely with the Directorate on a wide variety of issues. He bought them an air conditioner and reviewed their military plans. He was aware of their efforts to buy guns. He briefed them on how to answer questions from the press and paid for their travels.”

Members of the DRE worked with William Douglas Pawley on Operation TILT to discredit JFK and two months later debated Oswald in New Orleans.

While there is a Center named for William Pawley at Miami-Dade College, his longtime Executive Assistant (niece Anita Pawley) was deeply involved with the university’s Lowe Art Gallery and other family members attended the U as did the children and grandchildren of those involved in the failed conspiracy known as the Bay of Pigs invasion.

The University’s Richter Library (which I spent many hours in while earning a 1969 AB degree in American Civilization) houses perhaps the largest collection of anti-Castro documents. A significant resource within walking distance of the Professor’s classroom.

I would add the 1) full call/transcript between LBJ and Hoover after the assassination, 2) the full tapes/transcripts of military communications with LBJ's plane back to DC from Dallas, 3) the full transcripts from Mexico City involving Oswald. 4) If possible, any ONI or Military Intelligence files regarding Oswald or the JFK assassination.

That's always been my take - 'national security' is really about the CIA's institutional self-preservation. For them, they are one and the same. But it's effin not when you can kill a president and get away with it:

"But there’s another way to interpret the Agency’s actions. Perhaps, the CIA is telling us, accurately enough, that disclosure of these documents will corroborate claims that Oswald was manipulated and JFK was killed by his enemies in his own government in 1963, and that such disclosure would harm the national security of the United States in 2024 because it would damage, embarrass and otherwise discredit the clandestine service. America, in this judgment, cannot afford full disclosure about JFK’s assassination just yet."

It strains the imagination what sincere reason there could be as to why secrecy still exists. I can only think of a big embarrassment, but that embarrassment must mean possible, past complicity if not criminal negligence. Yes, it could discredit the clandestine service, but that would have to stem from the last two points.

New video from America's Untold Stories:

"Was James B Wilcott Lee Harvey Oswald's CIA Paymaster?"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRsgzSc6bQ4

The video contains lots of heretofore unknown details and allegations (at least to me), among them that Oswald was known to be on the CIA payroll by several people at Atsugi and that James WIlcott had disbursed some of his CIA pay there. Another allegation mentioned is that Marina had been a double agent working for the US, that her cover was blown, and that a deal was made with the Soviets to let her leave the country with Oswald. Jeff's friend who is friends with her should ask her for comment. It's also mentioned that her current husband Porter has intelligence ties himself.

Well worth watching.

We're asking an organization that murders our fellow citizens in its false flag operations, and is apparently above the law, to reveal its secrets, probably its wrongdoing. The effort should be made, but, really, are we kidding ourselves that it will ever happen?

Here's what Rand Paul received recently when he asked for non-classified documents on the origin of COVID-19--250 pages with every word redacted:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_Qo8dHsgRk

We're trapped in an authoritarian regime unequaled by any totalitarian government in history, and there's nothing we can do about it, short of something like the French revolution. The rule of law is long gone.

Perhaps, although the surveillance went up the chain to fairly high levels.

I have always wondered if LHO were not actually on assignment for, say, ONI, and the resulting cluster from one agency mistakenly spying on another and missing the real threat (from anti-Castro Cubans) is what is being covered up.

After 60 years about all we can do is attempt to disprove hypotheses.

Outstanding article Jeff. Every subscriber should demand their senators and congressmen address the six issues as well as Jeff’s 7th issue.

Beyond written records, are there any photographs or video that are still being held back?

I am a newbie here but have been spending years accumulating knowledge on the JFK assassination and reading many of the books written and pouring over all the evidence. I have recently joined here to read and review Jefferson's research. Great resource. I don't have a 100% opinion on whether Oswald did or did not do it, or was directly involved. What's clear and irrefutable and what I lean towards is that he was "involved" on some level, whether he realized it or not. He could have been directly involved as a low level caddy, or he could have been led to "think" by others he was doing something else, i.e. disrupting an assassination plot, being a decoy, a lookout, a mole in an active plot...and so on. When he fled to his rooming house to grab his pistol he was either a) evading LE to save his life, or b) running for his life from plotters because he realized he'd been set up.

As for the files that are still being withheld and/or redacted, I would like to point to the fact that there are still a handful of people still alive, a very small group, who are first hand witnesses to the JFK event: Ruth Paine, Marina Porter, Clint Hill, Paul Landis and some others, not to mention the families of Marina and JFK - immediate and direct victims of this tragedy, closer than the citizens of the country. I am guessing The Agency, and Presidents, have concluded that these files will stay withheld and redacted until a great time distance has passed beyond the official narrative to avoid a great fallout of revealing the truth while direct victims are still alive.

In his Volume II, "Countdown to Darkness" Newman provides an illustration where a once-existing 9-page Church Committee document in NARA disappears leaving only another 3-page version. We know of the 9-page version because Newman copied it when it existed.

The 9-page document contains an admission by Gordon Gray stating his belief that Eisenhower had intended assassination with Lumumba. But the surviving documentation has Gray denying that Eisenhower intended assassination in dealing with Lumumba.

This disappeared record is one of a number of manipulations of Church Committee documents that have the effect of suppressing that the Eisenhower CIA was the source of the CIA-Mafia plots not RFK.

Just a detail.

You tell that Miami professor that sometimes conspiracy theory leads to conspiracy, and here's at least one case of a disappeared record where the real record impeaches the surviving record in a very sinister example that can be proved.

And BTW, there are many, many "missing" records.

It might be worthwhile to have researchers submit their list of missing documents, along with other missing stuff (autopsy photos, Mexico City photos, tapes, and transcripts ) just so the skeptics can see how much data has conveniently disappeared in what is supposed to be a slam-dunk case against Oswald.

All these are domestic operations of the CIA. Domestic Operations Division is one and E. Howard Hunt admitted to being in it. I was flown with my wife, Jim And Jean in an old twin engine world war 2 transport from LA to Mobile with the "Tiger Airlines" logo on the side. when I got picked up in LA I was told it was a CIA airplane. back when the Airforce web Page included history, in a section it read that Tiger Airlines was a Domestic CIA Airline and even included an article that Tiger Airline Pilots reported a UFO sighting.

Now of course all mentions of CIA domestic airplanes are wiped, and sanitized from the Web. Here E Howard Hunt tells about his work with the CIA Domestic Operations Division. I say they also had an airline, besides Flying Tiger, Air America and others which were not Domestic cause I was flown on that plane to get publicity photos for the upcoming Hollywood hootenanny Tour used to facilitate the Mobile Plot to Kill JFK. https://www.nytimes.com/1974/12/31/archives/hunt-tells-of-early-work-for-a-cia-domestic-unit-special-to-the-new.html.
