Has everyone seen "The Fog of War," Errol Morris's fantastic interview with and documentary about former Defense Secretary Robert McNamara? It's a must-see. Morris did an incredible job getting the truth about the Vietnam war out of probably the most knowledgeable person in government at that time..

It has been years since I saw it, but my memory is that the heart of the film is McNamara near the end of his life staring into the camera, reflecting upon his actions, answering hard questions, and regretting things he did. It is probably the best interview I have ever seen with a public figure. After a career of lying to the American public, one gets the distinct impression that McNamara finally is telling the truth.

I am repeating what I said in a previous post. The world deserves an interview like this with Marina Oswald before she passes. Just Marina staring into a camera, answering questions, and telling us all what she knows starting with her life in Russia. Why did the Russians allow her to leave so easily? Why did she fear going back? What did LHO think of JFK? How could he afford to travel to Mexico City? What were the sources of his income? Did she know he was a fake defector? What was her motivation for marrying LHO? What did she think of the Paines, Ruth Paine in particular? There are so many questions she could answer. Where's our Errol Morris?

DVD sales would probably be in the millions worldwide.

Here's Ted Yacucci's latest video: "Lee Oswald did not go to Mexico City"

My recommendation is for a female journalist (hint, hint, Margot) explore a potential interview with Marina and/or her daughters. AWL, thanks for your pursuit of this historical (?) journalistic expose!! Best of luck!!

I have never seen a photo of Marina and Lee where they look like a happily married couple, Lee sometimes but never Marina. There's always a profound sadness in Marina's face. Was he ever anything to her besides a ticket out of Russia?

Sounds like an awesome “lead in” to this gargantuan story. May it morph into “history!”

Ted nails it IMO.

The Yacucci video is thought provoking. I found the notion that someone was hitting a target dead on with presumably the Oswald rifle hard to believe since a gunsmith, even using shims, was unable to zeroed in the rifle scope. There probably was an incident at the shooting range, but it became exaggerated in its description. The most important point to me was Odio's knowing who Oswald was. I have also wondered if Veciano had more than the acknowledged David Atlee Phillips meeting with Oswald. The most reliable information is still Oswald's filmed conduct in the Dallas jail and this behavior does not fit that which we would expect from the "patsy" defended by so many.

Oswald bought very cheap guns but allegedly bought very expensive camera equipment and took foreign trips. Whoever planned all this out didn't think about these inconsistencies. Maybe he was on a bender.

I've thought about the camera in the past and I considered that he may have lifted it while in Otsugi while working in air traffic. I have no proof of this but he may also have bought it cheaply after a fellow serviceman had stolen it. More important is how forthcoming Odio and Veciano were. The puzzle seems to be working from Oswald to the CIA and from the CIA to Oswald. The gap is probably not too large.
